Big day in Radioland
Posted Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at 8:36 PM
Today was a big day at the radio station. The building I work in plays host to three stations in Columbus. At 12pm today, the oldies station changed format to a hot AC station. In layman's term, this simply means that station just became a little more hip.Anyway, it was up to me to throw together a visual identity for the new station in about an hour seeing as though this was a very quick decision by management. I was excited to take on the project, since I'd never branded a radio station before. I stand by the results. The new station will be called "The Mix 107-9" and will feature hits from the '80s, '90s and today.
I'm also putting together a new website that should roll out later this week.
By the way, get hooked now as we're playing 5,000 songs in a row to celebrate the change! Tune in at themix1079.com.

KGMI Site Launch
Posted Monday, September 22, 2008 at 7:53 PM
Another website I designed for Saga Communications launched today. This time around, it was for KGMI, a news-talk station in Bellingham, WA. This was a pet project for me for a couple reasons. First of all, they're a station from the Pacific Northwest, located only an hour and a half or so from where I grew up. so us west coasters got to stick together and represent! Second, since we started this project of 90 or so new site rollouts, I've wanted to get my hands dirty with a news site. Boring for some, I know, but I had some ideas I really wanted to execute with this one, and I was given the opportunity to do so.Anyway, that all to say, it's up.
