Hackers are Scum

So I spent the better portion of my free time last week as a digital janitor. I had to clean up the mess left by a cyber terrorist on a client's website. Apparently, some low life living in his mother's basement thought it would be a productive use of his time to cripple an innocent party's site for his own amusement.

A Great Quote

I was thumbing through starbucks.com this morning and came across one of my new favorite quotes:

"Playing in an independent rock band will eventually make you equal parts truck driver, gladiator and mule. Glamour is for those with trust funds."

Scared and Alone

Today my PowerBook embarked on a much deserved vacation. For weeks I've needed to take it in for some minor repairs but I've been putting it off in fear of not having it at my side in case of an emergency.

It's really quite humorous how helpless I feel without it. This post is evidence of that. Here I've been given an excuse to not check my e-mail or do any kind of computer work for a couple days yet here I am, four hours into the break typing away on this here blog.

I need to get a life.

An International Holiday

Did you realize that today is an international holiday? Well it should be...according to my wife.

Today is her birthday. I've never known anyone over the age of 10 that cherishes their birthday more than my wife. She certainly gets a lot of milage out of it. And why shouldn't she?

Last night we started the celebration by eating out at an Indian restaurant and watching a movie. Today we plan to go to brunch at one of her favorite restaurants in Seattle called the Boat Street Cafe. Tonight we'll head to her folk's house for a formal celebration and tomorrow, we go to my parent's house. It'll be busy, but I'm looking forward to it.
