I must be getting old

Funny story.

Last week, I sent out a press packet containing various items relating to Threefold to a woman who writes music reviews for independent artists. I spent a lot of time, thought and energy hoping to make a good first impression, seeing as though it was an unsolicited submission.

I got an e-mail from her a few days later thanking me for my efforts, but pointed out the fact that I FAILED TO INCLUDE THE CD!

So, kids, here's the lesson for today: If you're going to submit your band for review, BE SURE TO INCLUDE THE RECORDING WITH YOUR PRESS PACK.

Lucky for me, she thought it was hilarious and asked that I try again.

A really big show

I wanted to let everyone in the Puget Sound area know that Threefold is playing a show at the Everett Events Center on Friday, May 4th starting at 6PM. I think we're finishing out the night, so we'll probably take the stage around 9PM. There will be four bands and a night full of entertainment. Tickets are only $6.00 and you can get more information here.

It's been a while since we've played a real show in the Everett area, so we'd love to see you there.

The Price was Wrong

I'm still recovering from a crazy, albeit short, tour down the west coast. Three weeks ago, Ben and I loaded up the truck and headed south for a short, week and a half tour through California.

It was the longest week and a half trip I've ever been on. I don't say that in a negative way, because nothing bad happened on the trip. It was eventful, yes. Actually, it was probably one of most memorable trips I've ever been on with Threefold.

It started with a small church in Oakdale, CA, continued as we narrowly escaped an avalanche in South Lake Tahoe, and concluded with me being called down as a contestant on The Price is Right. Yes, you read that correctly. My childhood fantasy was fulfilled when I was actually given the opportunity to be on The Price is Right. But alas, I didn't make it out of contestant's row. I was the last one called for the day and had only one chance to bid. I overbid on the manliest Barbecue I've ever seen. It broke my heart. Oh well. We can all tune in on March 27 as the episode is broadcast in all it's glory. I think I made a fool of myself as I came down to the front.

Home for now

For now, I'm at home in the Pacific Northwest plugging away at the daily grind. Fortunately, I've had a swell of work these past few weeks. That's never a bad thing in the wake of the holidays. I'm planning to head out on the road again in February with Threefold. We'll be doing a quick tour down the west coast. For info on the tour dates, hit the band's website.
